like to review New Castle's Burning Mountain Festival was first celebrated in July of 1973. The Festival originated as a community get together starting out with a breakfast followed by small parade and various events throughout the day. Some events were sewing and quilting demonstrations, a bake sales, but mainly just a good conversations and relaxation made the day. The Festivals have continued in the same manner for family entertainment and just enjoying the day. The photos provided and shown on this site were taken by NCC.C or donated by others for the purpose of enjoyment and to have good memories of the past in our small town of New Castle.
